"Red light district ... the moon turned a crimson shade last Tuesday night,
drawing thousands of viewers across the eastern states of Australia
outside for hours to see a rare full blood moon eclipse.
The eclipse started at 6.51pm with the Earth's shadow blocking light
travelling from the sun to the moon's surface and stayed full until 9.23pm.
While the eclipse was full the moon appeared a deep red because only the
red component of sunlight was diffracted around the Earth onto its surface
While lunar eclipses occur at least twice a year somewhere in the world, the last time a total eclipse was visible from Australia's eastern states was in July 2000..
Sydneysiders who missed the show will have to wait until December 2011 for the moon to stage a repeat performance."

我们一家人第一次亲眼观赏天空上的月蚀过程
哇！好高兴也感到好幸运
因为这不是每次都可以看到的
很多年才会有一次，真是难得呢!!
我的两个女儿虽然还不是很懂什么是月蚀
不过她俩也很兴奋看到月亮的变化过程
