烧包 (Char Siew Pau)


Ingredients

  • 350g chicken breast,diced
  • 1/2 cup green peas
  • 1 cup corn kernel
  • 1 carrot,diced
  • 1 big potato,diced
  • 1 tsp chopped garlic
  • 3 tbsp of olive oil
  • 3 tbsp of ‘char siew’ sauce
  • 3 x 187g sheet ready prepared butter puff pastry
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • Some waterSome sesame seed (sprinkle on top)

Method
1
. Preheat the oven 220°C
2. Heat up oil, sauté garlic till fragrant.
3. Add chicken, potato, corn, carrot, stir till cooked.
4. Add green peas, char siew sauce, some water.
5. Dish and leave to cool before using.
6. Cut the pastry into small square, each pastry can make 9.
7. Wrap up filling. Glaze with egg, sprinkle some sesame seed on top
and bake at 220°C till golden brown, about 25minutes.
8. Remove and serve hot. Make 27.


Note: When wrapping up filling, avoid gravy sauce from sticking onto the sealing side.Otherwise it will open up during baking.
